Frequently Asked Questions
How do I apply for the nursing program?
We do not have an open application process. The administrator of the employing facility must nominate MA-Cs for them to be eligible for program application.
Can I be nominated as a student if I am a CNA?
No, we only accept MA-Cs as applicants. If you are interested, speak to your administrator about the possibility of becoming a MA-C!
How long is the program?
The program is 10 months long. If you haven't completed an anatomy course that qualifies as a pre-requisite, we have partnered with Ozarka College to offer a course that is one semester long.
Is the program 5 days a week?
No, our students are scheduled three days per week.
Is this program part-time?
No, it is a full-time program, with 24 hours of class, clinical, lab, and/or simulation scheduled weekly.
Are classes online or in-person?
Classes are in-person.
Will I be a "real" LPN at the end, or is this only good for long-term care?
We are piloting a nursing program focused toward MA-Cs, but our program is expected to meet all the standards required of LPN programs in Arkansas, and our students will be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN licensure exam at the end of the program.
